Crystal Galindo

Bay Area artist and Sonoma State alumna Crystal Galindo has been commissioned to create the artwork for this year’s Summer Institute.  Her work is a response to the lack of representation of women of color in the media, As an artist Crystal spotlights Xicanas in a positive, realistic light. Her work analyzes the many facets of Xicanas and celebrates their diversity and power in a playful manner.
