Featured Artist

Sarah

Sarah Ortegon was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in a family of 12, she spent her summers on the Wind River Reservation in Fort Washakie, Wyoming.  She is enrolled Eastern Shoshone and also Northern Arapaho. In June of 2013 she graduated from Metropolitan State University with a bachelor in fine arts with a concentration in drawing.  Her studies also consisted of spending one semester abroad in Italy. In 2013 she was named Miss Native American USA. In 2015 she participated in a National Outdoor Leadership Course (NOLS) in Alaska which lead a team of students through two weeks of sea kayaking through the Prince William Sound and also backpacked for an additional two weeks through the Chugach Mountains. Ortegon’s love for Nature is apparent in her artwork.
